I think it really adds something -- it's a cool deatil, and it makes it obvious that they're not just chibis, they're PLUSHIES, which is awesomes :3

ahhh so cute! I love them all, but especially irritated!plushie!Cloud--the tilt of the eyebrows are so expressive. And looking at Zack makes me go eeeeee XD and grin stupidly.
