(no subject)

So photo sharing will have to wait till Monday since I'm visiting my mom this weekend. She hasn't seen me since Christmas time and is a little upset by that fact.

Ah well.

Homework is coming along nicely, was given an extension on my painting project since my teacher saw me earlier in the week, told me I looked dead or else seriously ill and said I could hand in my painting assignment next week if it meant I would get sleep this week. I love that man right now.

Am still sleepy, but no longer stressed and this weekend will be a nice change of scenery. Also, I'll take some photos of mom's cats, mostly Rico since he's my idiot and often times my biggest source of inspiration and comfort. ^___^ Am also going to sketch out pages for Legend so that i can update sometime next week and I'm trying to design the cover using the same style I did for the last Sanji pic. Also wanna finish the fashion series...

And I have some FF stuff planned, as well as some Bleach and Death Note and Suikoden stuff...

And the bookmarks...

My will and desire to draw has returned. This makes me happy.

Oh! And on a sidenote...I wanna get a bit of money so that I can buy a button maker...thus, would anyone be interested in buying prints from me?

Because I really wanna make buttons ;___;

Good to hear that your love to draw has returned ^__^
and I'm looking forward to Sanji, Zoro and Robin in the fashion series!! BTW, will there ever be a Robin plushie?

About prints...I *did* ask you what you were planning on selling at AN, so that I could maybe tell some friends of mine who will be going to pick up some stuff for me, since I might come visit them in Canada this summer.
You just never replied to that comment, so maybe if you have time, could you tell me what you will sell? Because I'd be interesting in getting some bookmarks or something, but I'd need to show pictures to my friends of what to get me, since they are not too familiar with OP characters ^^"

And will you actually print Legend? Or is the cover just for fun?

Anyways, have fun at your mum's place and relax a bit, ne?

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Opps? I'm sure I had replied, but since I ddn't ;___; I'm sorry...

I'll put up a list of prints and prices either this evening or tommorrow before I leave for moms ^___^ And i would like to get legend printed it's just hard finding a place that will print fan-based stuff....

And yes there will be a Robin Plushie!

[identity profile] hii-chan.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
YAAAY!! So I can chose nice stuff to buy ^___^
But do you already have everything drawn that you wanna sell or will you draw some more bookmarks and stuff (and maybe make some nice Legend merchandise?) for AN?

But usually printers don't care what they print, do they? I didn't think it was a problem finding someone 0.o
Well, if you don't find anyone in Canada, I can always ask printing companys here ^.~

And I shall be looking forward to Robin!! I really like her, but I have the feeling she is *the* most underrated main character in OP ^^"

*snuggles* Hope you're feeling okay?

I'm allowed to spoil you, I hope. Package will be mailed tomorrow. *grin*

I'm doing quite well at the moment. Thankfully.

[identity profile] mailechan.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
*perks* Suikoden?

I have kitties now too! They're just starting to come out to say hi and demand scritchies and brushing. Whee!

(Oh, and I have a box I am sending out to you today.)

E-mail Katsucon and ask them when you get your money for the art that you had in the art auction!

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes Suikoden ^____^

And you must take pictures of the kitties and share....and you are yet another person that is spoiling me this week.....

Yay for nice profs and extentions ^_^

I keep meaning to buy some prints, but never do it right at that moment and thus keep forgetting (memory? what's that?) Do you have a price guide?

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll post a price guide and which pictures I'm willing to make into prints today or tommorrow ^___^

And memory isn't needed >_>

What kind/size of button maker? I have one that I've used like 10 times and have been considering selling it.

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I want around a 2 inch since thats the one that best shows off art >_>

*grin* frankly, that was my thought too.

My button maker is the semi-automatic model 225, it makes 2 1/4'' buttons. I've only used it a couple of times and never filled out the warranty info. Here's a picture-

the machine, the back and front pieces, plastic covers, warranty papers and a completed button (as an example) the only thing else you'd need is a circle cutter.

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
O_______O That's one of the ones I was looking at!!!!!!!

How much would you be selling it for? And then of course the price of shipping and such.....

*stares at it and dreams of all the pretty button ideas*

Erm... $100? I don't know how much shipping would cost though. 100 is still quite a bit so, maybe a commission piece(s) instead?

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-11 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
$100 is not all that expensive at all...so how about $100 for the buttonmaker and stuff and then a commission to cover shipping costs?

The button makers I saw were around $210 - $300.....

[identity profile] dracontia.livejournal.com 2007-03-11 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
humm... The one I bought was, well, I don't really remember. *searches* I think it was from this guy, I'm not too sure though.

The reason I wasn't too sure about the commission was that what I want is a series of chocobo portraits, from ff7-12. Of course if that's too much of a hassle your offer is fine.

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-12 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That....would be quite fun actually ^_____^ How would you like them done so that I can get started? ((cause I really wanna make buttons and oh! Wouldn't chocobo buttons be soo cute ^_______^))

[identity profile] dracontia.livejournal.com 2007-03-12 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
The idea was to show how chocobos have evolved through the ff games: ignoring the pixel chocobos that leaves ffs 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and chocobo dungeon. They can be doing anything within the normal realm of bird behavior (aka, not playing a card game).

Also, how much do you regularly charge for commissions?

Chocobo buttons? XDD

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-13 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Chocobo buttons would soo kick ass!

And commissions are priced on how much time they will take me....if they are inked, or just coloured sketches. If there is background or not. If they are simple (like plushies), or complex, etc.

Usually one character(complex) and background costs about $60 (about $10 an hour really...)

But I'd be willing to do maybe mini prints of all the different chocobos and then line them nicely into one big print? Would that work?

[identity profile] dracontia.livejournal.com 2007-03-13 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
*nods* I'll probably end up buying some from you ^__^

I doubt they really need backgrounds, that'd be too much detail for something like this.

Can they be in mini prints? I was going to matt them together. Although, matting 7 together would be kind of hard- how about not doing the FF8 FF9 & chocobo dungeon? They're probably the most redundant out of all of them (but then again, I'm pretty biased)

Also about shipping: when should I send the button maker? If I wait until the end of the month I can ship it with UPS which would probably be quite a bit cheaper than the US postal service.

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Mini prints would be good and no backgrounds? Are you sure? How about I do one with background so that you can see what they look like....

So, do 7, 10, 11 and 12 then? I'll hopefully get started on them this weekend then ^___^

And if waiting till the end of the moneth is cheaper then I shall wait ^_____^

*bounces* I'm all excited! I get to make buttons and play with Chocobos!!! Much love ^___^

[identity profile] regicidaldwarf.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
What kind of prints and how much? :D I'm totally hard hit up for money right now, but I can make small exceptions. Particularly for luco art.

Glad to hear you're doing better, I know you went through a bit of a rough patch before.

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Awwww, people are willing to spend money on my art ;____; That always makes me so happy!

And yeah, doing much better now! ^___^

[identity profile] maderr.livejournal.com 2007-03-08 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)

Sweetness, I will always be willing to buy prints from you. If I could con you into an artbook, I so would. I stare at your pics on my walls every day and just smile ^_____^

[identity profile] luco-millian.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 03:17 am (UTC)(link)

*pouts* they should have gotten there by now ;___;

[identity profile] maderr.livejournal.com 2007-03-10 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
