luco: (happy kyo)
Yesterday was quite the day.

You guys let me spam you with art which allowed me to just let loose and play ((and I admit...I sounded different in my comments yesterday, or am I the only one who noticed that). All the comments you guys left just kept me smiling and wanting to do more and I really needed that after these past few weeks. I also learned a new style that is perfect for helping me out with my life-drawing and that is a lot of fun to play with!

And if that wasn't enough, a friend came over and made me dinner and sat down with me so that i could introduce him to One Piece and watching that always makes me happy and inspired but I haven't had the time lately so that was a treat!

And the food. Real, home-made food. . .

But almost topping all of that was the evening. I have seen my first ever rain shower during a sunset. The golden glow of the sun warming up the apartment and simply making all the rain shimmer as it falls down. The soft sound of the rain and nothing else to do but draw and follow it all up with two beautifully straong and clear rainbows...and well.

Yesterday was heaven for me, and I have you guys to thank for it. So thank you ^_____^

I hope I was able to make your day just a little more enjoyable.

So, I'm still hunting, but I think I suck at it, and I'm very annoyed about that. Then again, it would probably help if I wasn't too damn shy (yes I'm shy so shut up!) to ask other artists about it.

I mean, I just want to be able to print 'Legend' (and a few other ideas I have worked out) but I can't find a place around here that will help me out ;____; And it's driving me insane! You would think going to an art school would help but noooooo....everyone seems to think their printers are a closely guarded secret and won't share the info. DA artists seem to be the same way and it's really starting to annoy me.

I mean, everyone else seems to be able to find a printer they can afford and I can't.

And I really want to.

I want to be able to take all those sketchy comics I've done and finalize them. I want to put a whole bunch of extra pretty stuff in there and be able to offer it to you guys. I want to be able to sell them at a bit of profit. Enough that I can take that money and work on more art and slowly start getting stuff together so that one day I can do some original stuff (while still doing fan-based stuff because there are some characters I'll NEVER get tired of playing with...) and I want to make a living out of it.

*sighs*

Never thought the first step would stump me.

Guess, I'll stop growling at my computer and go back to packing. I'll be moving back to Toronto this weekend where I will be cleaning and organizing my room and studio. Even without a damn printer I still want to have a place where I can seriously start to work on all these ideas.

Actually...

I'll ask you to be brutally honest.

Do you think people would want to buy Legend and other things I've done?

Okay..so for comics it seems my best bet would be Lulu.com It was mentioned by a few people and I did see it during my hunts but wasn't too sure at first.

And their prices are reasonable and people have said their quality is good. So....with a tentaive printer at hand I just wanna bounce a few ideas off of you guys and see whether or not I should work on them:

LEGEND: This one for sure after I've got 50 pages together, but I do wanna know what you guys would like to see as 'extras' in it. Would you like to see sketches, storyboards, little gag comics, Chopper's Guide to the world of Legend, etc....just give me some ideas.

Mini Comic Collection: This would include my shorter comics, such as the tie one, squiggles (with it's author's permission of course ^___^) and a few others in my head. They would be cleaned up, but I could offer the sketchy pages as extras if people really want me to.

OP Plushies: All the OP Plushie comics I have now and more I will be working on.

FF7 Plushies: Yes it is still being worked on, but I may have to release it Chapter by Chapter (20 pages) at a time to make it more affordable to sell and such since I want it to remain in colour.

Soldier Boys: I wanna turn that silly magazine cover into an artbook type thing. So it would loosely resemble a magazine (with a few random articles) but mostly it'll be a chance for me to draw the boys, their weapons, the lastest in dogtag fashion, (the back of Sephiroth's head), Chocobo gear, etc....would you guys be interested in something like that?

...

So those are the ideas in my head right now. Please state which ones you'd be interested so that after Otakon I know what to start working on. And I'll still look around at other places as well, but at least now I have something.

You guys are way too good to me ^___^

EDIT: Oh! And I was also wondering if you guys would be interested in a small book full of all the random sketches i've done. You know...the stuff like from yesterday?
