A never-ending dream...

Yesterday someone on Tumblr requested art of, well, me.

I was kinda surprised and had to give it a shot.

I was actually surprised by how much some people liked it... Don't know how many realized who it was, but still, it made me smile.

I shall catch up on comments this evening. I would do so now, but I'm actually feeling productive so hopefully I can get some cleaning, decorating, cookie-making and art done!

Then I'll be chatty.

So, I was hoping to just show this pic once it was fully completed, but I'm a little too pleased and a little too impatient to wait, so I'll show you a little in-progress pic for now!!

IT's Phoenixes! Not something I've really done before and well, I'm rather proud of how they've been turning out. The linework isn't going to remain the same and the final glow isn't there, but the colourwork is what I really want to show you!

Still pretty much out of it, which is probably a good thing but anyways.

I did not get a table for Anime North through the lottery system so I need to enter the mascot contest. And so, I've forced myself to focus and draw and well, I'd like your opinions on her before I send her out since I trust you more then myself at this moment...

The requirements were their little red-haired girl (clothing and hair style can be whatever) and it must be playful, fun and family friendly. I did the background so that it could be both front and back cover of a program book.

The leaves did have these little smiley faces, but it ended up waaaay too busy. Which makes me sad because they were cute.

And in other news, I should be able to begin lessening meds starting Monday. Yeah no more fogginess!

This week had been interesting...

It's been full of massive cleaning, new furniture, the sketching of lovely half-naked guys wrestling, playing with sky pirates ((Skies of Arcadia!!!!)), watching dead kids, reading about stars and well...this little girl. Remember I mentioned creepy pic? Well, the original pic got scrapped because it was bothering me too much. Like in a nightmare-everytime-i-see-shadows type of way.

So I made a far, FAR more simpler pic and...there is something there that makes me cringe, despite the obvious of course.

Hmmm...

I'll show you the basic linework and you can give your thoughts. I mean, it's nothing major and doesn't even deserve a rating...but there is something...

The one thing I did have a lot of time to do in the hospital was art. And with no reference for fanart stuff, it's all original.

All the Calender Pages are sketches out, as well as two other pictures I'm hoping to colour before Darkover. I'll post them as they're coloured. So for now, have June, and know that I love you all and am very glad to be back.

Wow, have I ever been silent this last little while. I apologize but I don't think you want to sit and listen to me bitch about being stressed and having to deal with group work and just generally not having fun...so I stayed silent.

But things are looking up and I'm trying to hold on to the positive, which is also why I've finally started this year's Christmas Card.

I thought you guys might want to see how it's coming along.

On another note, for some strange reason Bleach has been poking at me. I mean I haven't read it or watched it for over a year (I think maybe longer?) so I don't know why all of a sudden I have an interest.

Is it still any good?

All I do know is that if I get back into and start drawing from it there are quite a few people who will be VERY happy with me...and they can be scary when they are happy.
