I have internet again!
And I have my own apartment! And it is lovely even if it still a mess! But the move so far has been painless except for one thing...
I lost a rare FF7 poster (from the versus guide), a signed PoTC movie poster, a one-of-a-kind animation poster from Silver snail and my two favorite Happy Bunny posters from mom and Lee ;___; they were all rolled together but somehow got lost. There is still one place left to look and I'm praying they are there...
*sigh*
But everything else went well. We got everything moved in, and i wasn't allowed to lift a thing. I won over both my roommates boyfriends and T's parents (they both me a pirate pillowcase *__*) and we all seem happy to be together.
Here have some pictures of my room! I'll show you the rest of the apartment once it's organized and cleaned a bit ^__^
( Mine, all mine! )
All in all, the move has been good for me. I'm far more relaxed after just one week, I'm healing nicely and I'm much more energetic and cheerful! Now i just need to hunt for a part-time job, because as much as I wish I could live just off my art, it takes a while to get established and known. So, we shall take this step by step.
I've already started taking commissions at y!Gallery, and I've mailed at most of the paid orders I've received here, so now I need to get a website created, do more on the various projects i have going and start doing some more original stuff. Oh! And T's boyfriend is a really good painter, so he should be able to teach me oil painting!
See, that's one thing I regret in my art. I haven't really had any formal training in anything but animation. No high school, no night classes, no nothing. I didn't even know I wanted to be an artist to fairly late in the game and by then, it was time for College. Even the art fundamental year I went through was animation based. So everything i learned was strictly for that or what i played around with and really. I don't know anything at all about art itself and I want to change that. I want to learn and play and see what is out there and learn what I can do and how far I can go.
Well, we shall see what happens. For now I'm concentrating on healing and getting my life started. Oh that's another thing, both my roommates have already noticed an improvement in the way I move and act, so the surgery did something right ^__^ I'm also an inch taller.
*loves*
And I'll show you how the Will picture is coming along. Didn't get to work on it as much as I had wanted, but everything above the waist is completed!
Also, the cable guy thinks I'm adorable because I love pirates (and have a hat!)
