Jan. 30th, 2011 06:17 pmWell, while working on Bunny art and commissions, a somewhat creepy art idea smacked me upside the head. It's one of those drawings where you have a blank page before you and are simply moving the pencil, not realizing what is coming to life right before your eyes until you're too far done to stop.
Because at that point, if you erase it, it feels like murder.
I mean, it's not that it's really gory or anything, but it's the little sense of wrongness throughout the whole pic. And everytime I'm tempted to just close the file and put it away in the 'never-finish' folder I just can't.
Death is fascinating me again, although I don't think it's at a worrying point yet...
In other news, we have a lady coming in tomorrow! She specializes in cleaning AND organizing! She won't just mop and dust and such, she will make you rip apart your desks and closets and help you go through everything so that your home has a good feeling all the way through and not just on the surface!
I just hope she's nice, because we seriously need this. It's a 2-bedroom place that holds three people and four people's worth of stuff. Add in mom being fairly severely injured for three years and sibling battling depression, well...it was kind of a disaster before I even moved in. It was one of the major things stopping me from leaving Oakville earlier.
So, I'm excited, but nervous. Yet, hopefully with her help, all of us can have a clean start and I can stay better motivated! Which is good, because motivated means more art ^_____^
And I seriously adore being able to do art for you guys.
Also in the motivated section, I have a personal goal this year. I'm trying to reach it by Anime North. I want to cosplay as FF XII Fran. And I want to do a damn good job of it, which means, I am trying to get in shape! No, I'm not dieting, or going insane, I've just been using the treadmill daily and when the energy is up, I either dance or use the bowflex! I've already gone down about 6-7 pounds in just a few weeks and really, I'm actually eating more then I use to. So, I'm a little excited. I figured I'll start creating the pattern for her outfit mid-February, because I think my shape will be pretty much the same, just more toned. So, I'll make sure their are adjustable straps and such.
Oh, if I can pull it off, it will be awesome!! Although, the most time consuming part will be the chainmaille panels on the sides of the torso piece. But hey, it's Year of the Rabbit so it's the perfect year for me to attempt this! That, and I've never seen a GOOD Fran cosplay and that makes me sad because she is one damn kickass bunny-lady and yeah, I've always been more then a little in love with her.
