Mar. 25th, 2011 06:08 pmIt is now day ...uhh...three I think of the no aspartame diet!
It's been weird.
The first day I was giggly and giddy and bouncing off the walls! I would have credited to a manic episode except that there wasn't that obsessive, frantic component. I was just...happy. And silly. Very very silly.
Day 2 I was starting to feel blah and twitchy and annoyed, so I took myself away from temptation and headed off to the library to keep me busy. I love Barrie's library, I really do. It still has that old-fashioned library feel and smell and just walking into their was magical... *happy sigh* Got some books on birds, lizards, sea creatures, ghosts, architecture, plants, astronomy and dragons. The guy who came over to see if I needed help had a lot of fun trying to guess what I was studying. He was very much amused and intrigued when I told it was for an original comic ((yes I am actually working on something original *gasp*))
I also ended up with his number.
...
Day 3 has seen me reading and sketching and plotting and practicing and just generally trying to keep busy. I have noticed some major health changes already though.
I'm looking better. There are no longer huuuuuuge bags under my eyes (just little ones) and my skin seems nicer.
My sleeping medication has been lessened and I'm actually getting up at the time of morning that I use to and love (6-8am)
More energy...although the shakyness and headaches don't let me use it as much...
My hair is nicer...and that may be weird to add but it is! It's softer and smoother and wasn't coming out during my shower!
All in all, as much as I miss my diet cola...the results are worth it. I can still have my coffee and Lee has found me yummy flavoured water with no aspartame ((and no calories) and there is some nice tea in the house! It's taking a while to get use to having and appetite again (I actually mistook being hungry as a stomach pain/cramp) but, I'm so much happier.
And it's odd because I wake up and feel silly and think I'm going over the top with giddyness and such, but mom says this is how I use to be a very long time ago. So, even though there is still pop in the house, I can walk by it every day and not want to reach out for it. Just waking up at a proper time and with a smile is more then worth it.
Also....
maderr !! I bought King's Harem and I never knew about Rook and Noor and this makes me horribly sad because I have fallen in love with them oh so very much and ummm....would you mind at all if I drew them at some point, because they are kinda poking at me with pictures......
And for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, you can find her book ((and many other wonderful stories by her and other talented people)) here!
....Chris and Sable aren't available yet though *pouts*
Okay. I'm done rambling and now am off to either draw or try and defeat that demonic Organ in Epic Mickey *grumbles at it* You guys will get more sketches and stuff later on. Probably during the weekend or after because I just don't feel like scanning ((although there is a lot to scan.....))
OH!!! And uhhh...does anyone have the Avatar artbook and would be willing to scan in any pictures of backgrounds/architectures for me? I can get characters and outfits from screenshots and stuff, but artbooks are better for the background details and feel...
Please?
I'm hoping to get the book late May if I get a table at Anime North >>; But I am impatient...
