Older...I think?
Aug. 21st, 2011 09:36 amYesterday turned out FAR better then I expected.
The world seemed to know it was my Birthday. I mean why else would there be a whole day of Phineas and Ferb back-to-back from 9am till 8pm ((at which point they played the movie!))
So I mean, that pretty much kept me smiling for hours, and then I received a beautiful flower arrangement delivered to my door.
Then mom was given some money by friend's so that she could get the stuff to make me a carrot/pineapple cake and we ordered Chinese for supper! Megs and Brian came over and joined us for supper and Brain gave me the Versus FF7 guide I have been hunting since 97!!!
Needless to say, it was a good day.
I was also working on a b-day pic for myself, which should hopefully be finished up in bit so I'll be able to share it.
And thanks for everyone online who wished me a good day as well. It was muchly appreciated and just what I needed.
Also....
This may seem weird, but last night as I was sharing some cake with Puku, a book fell off the shelf and landed beside me. It was a kid's story book about a set of Chinese Brothers that my dad read to me all the time and he gave the book to me a LONG time ago.
It was one of the first things I took from the apartment after his death.
It could have just been chance....but I kinda like to think that Dad was wishing me his own Happy Birthday. And to also remind me that things will work out.
