My friend is taking art at Mac. and she has to do life drawings as well. I love all the varieties of style that come out of these. I haven't done life drawing for a year or so, but they were always fun to do.

THAT! That is my very favorite thing about art! Not the complicated details, not even the gorgeous colors, just the beautiful clean lines nature gave us communicated onto paper.

And you do it WELL. The bottom-line stuff that makes everything built on it fundamentally beautiful and can make anything look like crap if it's not there. That last one is a great example. The casual fall of the shadow on her arm, the way you caught the motion of her hair swinging, as off-handed and intrinsic as sunlight. It's in all your work, and that's why I love it.

Your life drawing class is livlier than mine, hee! None of my drawing classes has ever involved a giant sock.
I like these. The short sketches really capture a sense of motion and brevity.

AH! Your lines are so confident! Damn I really like the pose in the third 2 minute sketch. There's so much flow in the lines, like you expect everything to keep moving. The fabric sock one is beautiful, man doing the shading on that must have been fun.

You've got great motion in all of your figures, all those nice smooth lines. yeah. *stares whistfully* The last one looks painful. I was (ironically) at my lifedrawing class tonight when the model didn't show up. So all of the students took turns being the model. And every single one complained about something falling asleep afterwards. And those were normal poses. That just looks painful.
