To be honest, I don't know what are Thanksgiving is actually about and no one has ever been able to explain it. All I know is that it's a day off school where I can be with family, eat lots of food and just remind myself that yes, I'm damn lucky to know the people I do.
But now I'm curious as well, will look into it and let you know the results.
