So, if you've seen pictures of my room or those of my friends that I've posted here, then you will know that I own multiple swords.

Well, today I needed to pull one down to see how it looked and reflected light for a picture I wanted to work on. So I pull it down and slide it and examine the blade. While doing this, I manage to trip and land on blade.

...

Don't panic.

It's a show sword, so not that sharp, but the wound looked bad enough 4 hours ago that my friends rushed me to the hospital and while I didn't need stitches, I was getting feverish so I needed some shots.

And now I have another scar on my face! So surprised it didn't get my eye, but the doctor said it was because of the shape of my cheekbone and that I was damn lucky. I still think everyone was over-reacting but..

...

This laptops webcam is pretty damn nice.....

Anyways, I loved the looks on the faces of the hospital staff when I told them I fell on a sword. Don't know what my mom is going to say though....

Oh, ouch!!!!!!!

You need vitamin E oil...

After it heals, put vitamin E oil on it 3 to 4 times a day, consistently...

I know for a fact that it works. I had first to third degree burns on my legs from knee to ankle due to butter grease as a kid, and my mom put Vitamin E oil for months. I have no scars, at all!

I don't know what to say about your luck. Either it's just plain bad, or it's so good it keeps you alive despite the universe trying to flatten you ...

Oh wow, only you can manage that, can't you? ^^"
I really do hope though that it won't stay as a scar!!

Holy shit you gave me a heart attack for a minute there D:

I had a friend who did a similar thing but with a racket. He was playing tennis and lost his grip on a down swing, and the racket bounced back up and scored him in the face just an inch away from his eye. He was also very lucky not to lose his sight.

I second the opinion about vitamin E cream. I scar really easy and use to have heaps of acne scars on my back, but my mum bought me this special anti-scarring vitamin E cream stuff and it really works :)

I swear somedays, you're trying to reinvent yourself as an anime character!

((hug)) Glad that it's not worse, and I hope it heals well. The others are right, though. After it's healed over, keeping the skin supple is key in avoiding scarring.

Wow. Well, that one'll be pretty stylish, at least. I'm glad you weren't hurt more badly, and that the infection got taken care of before it could get far. That would've really been a mess.

H-honey, there was a sword that pierced your face, your friends have every right to freak out. Cuz I would. D:

I'm so glad you're alright though. :]

That will be awesome in the future, because when anybody asks about the scar, you can say it's an old sword wound... Reactions will be priceless.

Well, I have had brightly coloured and weirdly cut hair before and a few interesting scars and yeah....I guess an anime character is the best description.

But it's fine, just throbbing today.

Tell me about it. When I walked into the hospital I was still in shock and not feeling anything, after 4 hours of waiting though, I had a high fever, was swaying and my face was puffed up so yeah, I'm glad my friends dragged me.
