Anime North

So..it looks like I sent in my table application for Anime North a few seconds too early ^^; and thus, won't be getting a table in Artist Alley ((unless they haven't done the second lottery and are way too swamped with emails to tell people, which I can completely understand.))

My only hope now, is the mascot contest. I entered it, but I'm nervous about my chances there since my drawing mood was not what I would have liked. If you're curious as to what I drew




If I don't get a table it'll mean a very rocky start to the summer money-wise AND you won't see me at Otakon. I did not get a table there and so I can't justify buying plane tickets and travelling for a weekend even though I REALLY wanna see everyone again ;; ((and actually hang out))

So I'm a little bummed.

But I am going to look on the bright side! There is always a chance a table may become available on the Saturday morning and if I hear nothing by the end of the week, I'll pay the little extra and get a ticket to the Moonlight Ball and just let myself enjoy the chance to dress up fancy, put a mask on my face and dream for an evening.

And today....I may attempt some FF XIII art ^^; Since I really love Sazh and his kid, Snow/Serah and Lightning/Odin >>; ((yes, feel free to think me odd))

Also, whenever I get a model of the Shivacycle to use as reference, you will be seeing a LOT of art with it! I mean seriously, two beautiful ladies that transform into a gorgeous motorcycle? What is not to love!!

Snow is a very lucky man....

Here, found the toy model Still haven't found a good Youtube video, but any Transformer fans might want to go hunting. It's very pretty to watch but Shiva and Odin. The rest aren't too bad...but their designs are a little too busy to really enjoy...

You guys also gave me some interesting ideas for the picture I posted yesterday and so I think I know what direction I wanna take it! Thanks!

Well, Anime North has had some pretty bad artists to deal with so they have to be really strict. But thanks for the vote ^___^ Hopefully she does well!

Well, getting a table AND doing well. This has not been a good year money-wise and I'm seriously going to miss everyone if I don't go. It's one of my favourite times of the year ;__;

Urgh. I had that happen with Katsucon. (I've tried to get tables at four difference conventions and haven't been to one yet!)

Still, I hope this all works out for you, we'll really miss you at Otakon if you can't come - though it will also be completely understandable if you can't.

That Shivacycle looks pretty damned cool to me. I don't know if I'll ever get around to playing XIII though. It kind of feels like they just remade VII and tweaked it a bit. And the design doesn't do anything for me. But I guess the only FF game I fell in love with was XII SO WHO CARES ANYWAY RIGHT??!

XIII is not an easy one to love and XII does have it beat in everything but graphics and even that is a close call. It is not a re-made VII, but still, beyond ohh shiny, it's just something fun to play with once in a while ^^ And a good distraction for me!
