Very eventful....

This, turned out to be a rather interesting day.

Woke up, came downstairs and when I still couldn't draw I asked mom if I could re-arrange the living/dining room. She said go for it and so I did.

Took me over 4 hours but it is MUCH nicer and more open and I even cleaned the kitchen while I was at it!!

The cats were very helpful of course....

And then, I was ready to draw, but still lacked inspiration, so I headed to the library. And there I was, reading through some books when I guy walks by, stops. Pauses and reads the titles of the books I'm reading and sits down next to me.

I didn't think they were odd, but I've been told that I girl in a 'kick-ass' One Piece sweater, with Avatar buttons on her One Piece purse, who sits and reads about Chinese History, Football, Baseball, Architect from around the world, psychology, koi fish and a few other random books is rather rare.

So, we chatted, and I got to fangirl about One Piece and Avatar and got to talk about my sketches and other random stuff and he bought me a drink and then he asked if I'd help him out by going dress shopping with him.

He was doing a college project, something about the impact of the modern day weddings on girls and wanted to observe them when they got their dresses. But, sitting in a Bridal Salon by himself was a no go, so he asked if I would pretend to be his Fiancee.

The whole things was weird and amusing enough that I agreed and spent the rest of the day trying on dresses and being treated like a princess. Afterwards, he took me out for another coffee and dessert, exchanged emails and then I answered some questions for him from my point of view on the whole thing and we said our good-byes.

Overall, it was a LOT of fun and ummm.....*coughs* I think it was the first time I really felt pretty and special in a dress. And they had done up my hair for me and when they saw my arms they let me wear some very lovely gloves and for the first time since last December, I was happy that I was a girl. And I could admit, that I kinda liked being pretty...

And I'm pretty sure I'm still blushing from the whole thing even now.

....

If I do manage to somehow get to Otakon this year, I think I want to go in a dress. I think this year, I want to actually be pretty. BUT! If i do, someone out there has to promise to dance with me! ((even if I am a horrible dancer!))

That is a PHENOMENAL post! I'm not a very girly girl myself, but labels like "girly" are silly, anyway. You felt beautiful and you enjoyed yourself and that's just AWESOME!
