Am trying to Darkover art and am failing horribly.

This annoys me immensely.

I think it's because I wanna do fanart, but if I do fanart then I'll feel guilty about not doing the art I NEED to do and the proper sellable art and so the fanart won't even turn out good which will leave me feeling even more annoyed.

...

But....maybe I do just need time to play....?

Ah, well, I'll try for a little while longer and see what happens. Also need to clean kitchen and bathroom today as well as make cookies....


And the leaves outside are crunchy and every possible shade or red and gold. Wish there was someone close by to go outside and play with.

I think I'll make some hot chocolate when I make cookies.

*bonk* Dork! Do fan-art! People WILL buy that, too, you know. ♥

Then, when your hands are content, switch to something else. (And remember, all those doodles done while watching TV make great programme filler.

Maybe a compromise, work on fan-art for a little while then switch to the other. That way you accomplish both tasks. I usually break up my day this way so that I don't feel like I'm doing all work and having no fun.

I know what you mean, I'm having the same problem right now -_-' except with writing. I have stuff I need to be writing but then again.... I'm in the mood to do something else. Try doing a piece of fanart and then a piece you need to do maybe? Or just set aside one day of the week that's fanart day?

When the triptych sold at Darkover last year, it was partly the title that did it. I was there. ♥ And the title was video-game fannish, if not for a specific game.

Also, playing is good for the soul and for the art.

So do what makes you happy... [greedy] ...ESPECIALLY if it includes some Final Fantasy fanart.[/greedy]
