Well now...

Guess who has got aspartame poisoning???!!!

*waves hand*

Yup! Me! And if you've spent a weekend...err...a day with me, you'll completely see how. Actually, I've had it for a while, but was in denial until one of the symptoms showed up and started really scaring me. Numbing of limbs. I can blame my hands and arms on carpal tunnel, but my legs...not so much.

So...I've started cutting back even though doctor said right off, because, I've seen myself going for a day without it ((and still having caffiene)) and I will tell you that I become hellish to deal with and I will not put my family through that. Thus a gradual decline followed with a lot of water to help cleanse me.

*whines*

First nuts and shellfish are taken from me and now this? *pouts* But at least with this, once I'm healthier it can be a treat once in a while.....

But oh did people wanna smack me when they found how much I've been drinking >>;

Whoa, did you get it because you drink so much diet colas or something? That... is scary and totally sucks.

I pretty much lived on the stuff because it was cheap, gave an energy boost quickly and suppressed appetite for when we didn't have money for food ^^;

And now I'm paying for it...

I 100% relate, bebe. My coffee addiction (plus the NSAIDS post-surgery) is what got me into the mess I'm in - and I can never have coffee again T.T

Owwwwww....thankfully I can still have coffee, but I truly did love my diet cola because I'm partial to cold drinks ;___;

We'll have to find someplace with awesome drinks we can both have to meet up someday.

I HAVE JEALOUSY. I'm not allowed any kind of caffeine anymore, not until (at least) I'm feeling better.

Yes! Drinks that we can both have and not keel over from. Like, a cold-tea place or something.

Shakes finger- ehh its ok.. i was the same way until i got so bad that i couldnt go a day without a full 24 pack of soda cans. Doc said it was bad. they tried to make me go cold chicken. no soda in the house and i dont drive.. the first day wasnt so bad but when i didnt sleep as withdrawal hit.. omg everyone was in hell.... finally they got me a mega slurp from the gas station and i was in heaven. its been gradual for a year now. now i hardly drink any and yeah..

I've been pretty much doing more then that for about 7-9 years now >>;

And....surprisingly...I'm giggly and giddy and no one can figure out why.

Aspartame, huh. As if you don't have enough to deal with! I hope cutting out the soda isn't too traumatic. I had to stop drinking it because it was dissolving my teeth. Heh, I'll probably still need dentures by 40.

Actually, the worst thing that is happening is that my hands are really REALLY shaky.

But other then that...I'm giggly. Which is very odd and everyone is just kinda staring at me >>;

Ouch *cuddles* good luck at getting off it. Maybe drink lots of tea since that's good at flushing out stuff?
