Let us Begin
First artwork for 2012!!
Yeah it's Tiger & Bunny, well Nathan/Antonio + Kotetsu to be exact... BUT! It's all coloured on one layer!! Yup! I decided to challenge myself and did the whole thing, bg and characters all on one layer! The colours that happened because of that I think are pretty cool ^___^
So over all I am pleased. Plus this is a bribe to get more fic, so hopefully it works >>;
Anyways, please enjoy!
Also...O kind of over-did it yesterday trying to help mom clean and get stuff ready for New Years so...I've been basically grounded and confined to bed/one level which means I'm bored. I'm going to go through unfinished art and work on it but if anyone wants to give my prompts to do in between I'd appreciate it!! I'll accept anything from :

....well those are the ones sticking in my head right now. You can request from others, but there is less chance it'll get done ^^;
And for those of you new here, you can request pretty much anything. I mean I've done tentacles and dragon-porn and have gone the full range from crackish to smutty. The only things I will not draw is rape.

I'm pretty big into the Tortall series and the Living Circle series, both by Tamora Pierce. She tends to write the series in quartets. First for Tortall is the Song of the Lioness (Alanna: The First Four Years, In The Hand Of The Goddess, The Woman Who Rides Like A Man, and Lioness Rampant); first for Circle is Circle of Magic (Sandry's Book, Tris's Book, Daja's Book, Briar's Book).

brief backstory -- Monica witnessed a driveby shooting on her first day in NYC and kept the victim from bleeding out. Now she's coming to visit him in the hospital.

Evening was falling by the time Monica made it to Lennox Hill. "I don't think they'll let you come in," she pointed out to her transfigured brother.
"Fuck that," he replied, and she gave him a sidelong look.
"Corbin…"
He knew that tone, even in his current form. He left her shoulder in a flurry of wings and alighted in a tree.
Taking a deep breath, Monica slipped inside and headed for Marcello's room. At least she'd managed to find some second-hand clothes that fit.
There was a dark-haired woman sitting on a chair next to the door, reading. She looked up, eyed Monica for a minute, then turned back to her book without a word.
Confused and a bit intimidated, Monica hesitated, then entered the room.
Marcello was in the bed. He looked up, blinking woozily when the door opened. "Hi again!"
She smiled a little. "Hello."
"You helped me before," he said, wisely.
"Yeah, a bit."
"That was nice of you."
She flushed a little. "It seemed like the thing to do."
He gave her a lopsided grin. "My name's Marcello. People call me Marky."
"Marcello's a nice name?" she offered.
"Yay!"
How many painkillers was he on? she wondered. "I… guess?"
"I bet you have a pretty name."
Why was she blushing? "It's Monica."
"That is a pretty name!" he said happily.
"I— is it?" Wow, that was lame.
"Uh-huh! It is. I'm glad you helped me."
"I couldn't just leave you there," she said quietly.
"Could've. But you didn't. Means you're a good person. Thanks."
She flushed, then remembered why she'd come here to begin with. "Oh— I brought you your phone back."
"Thanks! It's a good phone. You're nice to bring it back for me."
It was the drugs talking, she was sure. She fished the phone out of her pocket and set it on the table by him. "You're welcome, Marcello."
"Can I call you sometime? Maybe? You're nice to me," he said, smiling.
"…I don't have a phone," she admitted.
"Oh. But I want to talk to you again..."
She flushed even darker. "I could come visit again?"
"I'd like that," he said, happily.
"All right," she said.
He grinned up at her. "You're all shiny."
Monica blinked. "Shiny?"
"Uh-huh. Everything's shiny, but mostly you."
Must have been the drugs. "Oh." What did you say to that?
A few seconds later, he was babbling about something entirely unrelated, then fell asleep. She smiled and sat down to watch him for a moment. What was he like when he wasn't doped up to his eyelids?

I'm very fond of Monica myself. Well, Monica and everyone in Rafe's story (Monica is actually a secondary character in that.)
There's also another Monica/Marcello story lying about, taking place some months later when they're dating.
