I couldn't afford what they were charging for the lamination so they're just printed on the heaviest paper I could get (cardstock) and they seem to be holding out fairly well. I've been carrying a Zack with me everywhere and there has been no ripping or tearing anywhere. . .
You need Plushie!Sephiroth to make the entire trio, with a link on the background to the comic. ^_^
Just McDohl will do. I prefer Cloud over Zack, actually. And besides, you can sell the FF7 bookmarks much faster at the con. I doubt many people will know McDohl.
^___^ Would you like me to mail it before the con, or would you rather wait till after and see if there is anything you want from what I have left over?
I'm serious! Make yourself a couple of plushies, like plushie!Cloud, and maybe a plushie!Axel, and then sit them in front of your bookmark holder (actually, tie them there or someone might steal them). They'll do your selling for you. ^_^
And you don't have to send it out before you leave. Just wait until after the con. If you sell McDohl, you sell him and I can get a copy some later time. I don't mind if you go for money in hand.
omgsqueeee! Oh man, they're so cute. How much are they? I'll take one of each, and I don't need them to be tassely and grommeted, if that's easier. ^___^
So you want of all 8 of them, or just the two above? And I was going to charge $2 CDN for the non-tasseled and grommeted ones. . . and since our dollars are about a 10 cents difference right now, well you can do the math ^_^;
Just let me know which ones you want and I can easily put them in an envelope for you and not charge for shipping!
Is $2 an allright price? I'm not use to selling small stuff >_>
You might also want to do a discount-on-multiples sort of thing -- especially since you have several that would work well in pairs. $3 for one and $5 for two, something like that. I would totally pick up Zack/Cloud and Axel/Roxas for that (and if you have any left over after con, you should post about it here -- I don't want to deplete your con supplies, but I'll certainly take extras off your hands).
Colour, and I don't think I'll do any drawing there, it will put too much pressure on myself I think and I'll end up not enjoying myself and probably screwing up the drawing.
. . .
Well, Plushies I could pull off easily enough. . . .but then I'd want to keep them to colour them properly.
Hmmm. Pricing on prints seems to vary a lot by con -- you'll definitely want to wander around a bit and get a sense for what the "going rate" is when the setup is underway. I think I did the most print shopping at Otakon last summer, and there it seemed most common for people to sell 8.5x11 color prints for about $10 (though there were a few people selling cheaper -- and selling out fast!).
I was thinking around $10. . . .but wasn't sure if that was too much or not. But yeah, I'm definately going to have to prowl amoung the other artists and see what's happening. . .
6-10 was the general range that I saw at ACen. But selling your stuff for under 8 would be a crime. I'd definitely pay $10 for them, but yeah, wander around and see what other folks are selling for. And keep in mind that you don't have to outprice EVERYONE. let the crappy pencil drawings go for $5. Your stuff's worth more. :)
I'll take all 8 of them. :) You want check, or Paypal? you don't do paypal, do you?
And $2 sounds like a fine price. I saw nice ones like that for 3-4 at ACen, but those were laminated, so $2 sounds fine. If they don't move, drop the price on the last day. :)
Well, I have a credit card now, so I guess I should be able to set up paypal, but I'm not sure how long it would take to get verified, etc. . . let me check now, and if we can do it that way, that would be easier ^___^
It doesn't take very long, I think, esp. if you are just accepting payments. Thing is that to accept credit cards (which is the paypal type I use), you need to get a premier account, and with a premier account, they will take 30 cents plus a percentage of the transaction out of every transaction as fees. Just a heads up.
Then I shall get the bookmarks out for you tommorrow as well. . .actually. . . I'm hoping to have Seph done by tommorrow as well. . .>_> Would you like to place an order for him too? Or are you happy with ze 8?
Just wait till tommorrow evening and we shall see whether or not I get him done in time. I just have to put the final touches on my costume and my Bunny's costume and then I can get to work on Seph. He's drawn out so. . . .
