Happiness is...

So I'll be grinning like an idiot for most of the day.

Last week on saturday there was a Golf Tournament. It was held by a lady at my mom's work for two little girls. They had just recently lost there mother and only surviving parent to an illness. They're now living with their grandparents. This tournament was to raise money to start an education fund for them and the lady was looking for different prizes to offer since admission cost $80.

She asked mom for some of my art and I said yes so mom and I got some stuff printed and framed and they were put in last week. I didn't hear anything till today, but I've been told that each girl recieved one of the prints and were thrilled with them! The lady said they smiled for the first time since the funeral. Everyone else was in awe (as my mother puts it, so i don't wuite believe it) over my work and wondered where the lady ever got it.

The tournament raised over $8000 which is a very nice number and the little girls were able to smile.

That is the reason I love doing art. I want to be able to make people smile, to remind them to dream and to let them know they are loved and I was able to do that last week.

So yeah. It's a good day.

Now to go work on Legend, because I forgot...it's saturday isn't it?

Damn you ecphrastic Why did you have to make this week's topic Ties? Why?

My strange obsession with Sanji's tie has had me sitting here trying to figure out how to put an idea in my head into words, but all I get are images.

*sigh*

So, after I'm done this weeks page of Legend I'm sitting down and drawing the damn comic because I'll go insane otherwise!

But I am going to give you a hint of what you should expect. There will be Zoro, Robin and Sanji and it will focus on the name of the modern day tie: Four-in-Hand which was named thus because its knot with two long, trailing ends resembled the reins of a four-horse carriage. . .

Now, can anyone guess what I'm going to do?

Oh and there will be another Squiggles comic being worked on too ^^;
