Bad New year! BAD!

So, I'm trying to stay all cheerful and hopeful and then...

My only source of portable music dies.

I now have no music to keep me sane on my walks, at school or while animating. It's a big deal to me (as I'm sure most people who live off music would probably agree) and since my classes don't start till 3 tomorrow, I'm going to try and brave the mall (and the cold) and get a new one.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I just got one of my bursaries, so I have some money to spare but would kind of like opinions from people who are not out to steal as much money from me as possible.

So brands, types, etc... Anything that has worked well for you would be awesome to hear about.
