The power of dreams.
May. 16th, 2011 12:11 pmWent and talked with the psychiatrist at the hospital this morning.
He was pleased with the improvement I've been showing and my willingness to keep on working through everything. He had finally caught up on my full file ((which you know has stuff since I was 6 so yeah, a LOT of reading)) and told me that the only other time I showed this much improvement so quickly was in 2008 and he asked if anything significant happened then.
I honestly couldn't think of anything myself so, with both of us curious, he pulled out the paperwork and read off various events and such but nothing really hit me.
Then he asked what One Piece was.
For an ENTIRE HOUR I went off on this huge fangirlish explanation of the series and why I love it and the characters/pairings/events/settings and such that I adore and the people I've met through it and how my art changed and I learned to have fun and pushed myself and why they were all so damn inspiring and and...well you get the point.
And through it all he just smiled. I didn't even realized I had gotten up and was walking around acting out parts of my favourite scenes until he started laughing.
He then told me he learned more about me during that hour of watching and listening to me then he had by meeting with me since September and going through my file.
It would seem 2007-8 was when I was first introduced to One Piece. And it has left a noticeable difference and now that I'm back into it ((after needing a break after Ace....)) that difference is back.
I didn't even think about it, but it's true.
Now he's off to read it for himself because I made him damn curious as to how One Piece could do this to a person.
I'm curious about his reaction when next I go for a session.
