The paper I needed arrived in the mail today and I figured you guys would rather have an actual page instead of the Chapter 2 title page. Am I right? The title page will come out later, I promise, just consider this part of Chapter 2 now.

I really like the first panel (and the back view one of course, but that's a given) but the first panel just the placement of everything makes me stare at it. I like how Sanji's slightly wrapped around it. ^______________^

I adore the really big fish in panel one and Sanji being so depressed *hiffles* But I really like his facial expressions. I'm sure Zoro will make up for no being a marimo somehow. But I wonder who's calling to him that gives Sanji that little smile in the last panel?

I love they way you can portray emotion so subtly, just like real life!
whenever I try to make my characters actually look like they're doing something, they just look bored. I praise you!

I hope you don't mind constructive criticism, and I hope no one tries to kill me for pointing this out...please don't take this the wrong way...

much as I love mersanji's awsome merbutt ( and I do), its not actually anatomically correct.
everyone knows that the buttock is two muscles at the upper back of the thigh that contracts to pull the leg back. a mermaid(or man) wouldn't really have the same kinda thing, since they wouldn't need two different muscles to perform the function. they would probably need one, to pull back the tail, and it would probably be less defined and longish, taking up almost the same space and narrowing going down the back of the tail for a more fluid motion then the traditional shape would allow.
don't take this to mean 'stop drawing sanji butt', cuz I might go into convusions knowing I caused such a tragedy.
also, the hips wouldn't be quite so wide, since a wide pelvis (or pelvic area) is actually so that a female can carry and give berth to babies. It's where the uterus(or in this case, eggsaccy thing, since they ARE fish) would go.
a man doesn't really need that, so they have narrow hips. that's not to say that a man's hips don't widen out a little bit, they have organs in that area too, but not nearly as much.

still, if you're going to give him a more femanine, traditional
mer(man/maid)look, it's fine. and I abolutely adore Legend!

it's just...that was...bothering me...a little.

once again, it's probably only me who actually puts that much thought into a mer-ass, and if I knew how to get a hold of you're email or send you the message an easier way, rather than clogging up the comment board like bad meat in a fat guy, I really would. as it is, I'm gonna get my ass kicked for questioning the haloed sanji-bum.

And you know, I never really thought about that (which I should have) so thank you for pointing it out to me. I'll remember it when I draw other mermaids/mermen from now on, but Sanji will keep his odd little behind ^___^ And I kow I draw hips way too big..it's been a problem of mine for awhile...am slowly working on it, and hopefully one day I'll get it right.
