More of the dragon!

So, the dragon is shaded. I shaded it first because I wanted it to have the most intense sahes and now I can fit the background around it ^___^

Still not sure on my colour scheme. . .







It's still going to need a lot of work in some places, but I'll do that once the whole thing is shaded.

You working in watercolors, I'm guessing? I've never been able to use those with any degree of effectiveness (always stuck with acrylics) I'm so jealous of people who can though. It always looks so AMAZING!

Can't wait to see how it ends up! Though for colors, I vote not green, because that's done to death ^_^

This layer is ink and then watercolours will be put on top of it ^___^ And don't worry, he's not green!

I like the pattern you have going on for its skin. Are the wings going to be folded a bit, or is that the extent they can be opened?

They are folded, so they can open some more, but they're still small for his size. he's still growing ^^;

Wow! He's starting to look really good. You're really good with water colours, but then again all your work is amazing. Even without colour its still really good.

The shading is really nice. I'm fascinated by the textures I'm seeing--wrinkles, folds, sharp, sharp claws.

Have you thought about possibly doing the whole thing in shades of grey, black and sepia?

I was thinking about that, but i screwed up a bit, so I'm going to bring this one to colour like I originally planned. But I'll know what to do next time i want to do a grey(or brown)-scale painting.

Aww... he looks like some Wizard's pet lizard, who's been around the magic so long that he's been "upgraded" a bit. He also looks a bit witsful, maybe his wizard got lost?
