Black Coat in progress. . .

So yes, Delmar has been bugging me to make this for awhile and I finally started. . .




It is really nice material to work with. Slightly stretchy, but still...firm? It was once a shirt and the reason I was told to use it was for. . .



...this. It was a design on the front that just fit on the back of his coat ^___^



Sadly, I still suck with a camera and couldn't get a nice shot of it. Sorry about that.



He's trying to be mysterious, I still think he's adorable ^__^



And of course, he wanted to play. . .once I'm at school I'll have better lighting and areas to to take photos in, so hopefully they turn out better.

But, for the rest of the coat. I still have to hem it and we're still deciding if the front needs something since the back stands out quite a bit. And he wants a nice deep blue shirt to go underneath it. And a long scarf to match the coat.

He's slightly demanding, but I still adore him ^_^

Yet, he's still not very talkative...

I just wish I could make clothes for them, it would certainly save money...but who knows maybe I could give it a try ^_~

Yeah, it's so much cheaper making then clothes instead of buying them and really, i have such interesting fabric here that it kind of makes it fun too ^___^

I didn't get a chance to look at this last night, but WOW, hon, on the embroidery. It looks so awesome. The other folks in my office were impressed when they saw it and then MORE impressed when I pointed out no, this is not a full-size coat, this is DOLLSIZE coat. :)

I still say he's too adorable to be mysterious...and then he just glares at me and I laugh at him.

The shades did up being one of the best things I have bought for him. Those and the boots ^__^

:) The coat looks great, Luco! :) I love the detailing on the cuffs and collar (real notched lapels! woot!) and the dragon print fits *perfectly*. It's neat how the head is resting on Delmar's butt... ;) Compliments all 'round! -- to Delmar for the great new coat, and to you for the great work!

(BTW -- did you get a package from me this past week? I know you've been mightily distracted, but if I need to chase down the Post Office lemme know, eh?)

I was just lucky that the pattern just barely fit the back of the jacket ^___^ But the collar was annoying to sew, so I'm glad it lays there nicely. . .I'm also pleased that I found a shirt with the red version of that design so if I can ever afford the lovely lady i want to get, I should be able to make them matching jackets ^__^

Okay. Seriously. I can't figure this out. How big IS he?! Sometimes I think he's the size of an average Barbie doll and somehow now he looks three feet tall at least. I AM SO CONFUSED

He's a little over two feet tall. . .I guess you weren't there when i brought him to painting class huh? Well he'll be at school with me again this year, so if you ever want to see him, let me know ^___^
