I Hate Backgrounds!

So why I chose to do something set in Ouran High where Every Damn Wall in that music room is DIFFERENT, I don't know. . .

And yes, I watched a few episodes and did some sketching. . .

*cries*

So, once again, forgive the crappiness of the pen drawing and know that I both dread and look forward to the days I do this properly.

Actually, that is why they have lots of open doorways in the books. So you have an edge here and an edge there. Not to mention the seats and tables hide the carpets.

Plus, if you get a chance to see the manga, the art is far more sparse. Bookshelves are just like you have there--the shapes but no titles or details. And there are a lot of frames where it's just the people with no real background (to emphasize the person-to-person action).

And most importantly, the manga-ka has assistants.
