So, this is not what i had planned on working on, but she was drawn in pen last night and I adore her design so much that I tossed her into OpenCanvas and started inking, then went and started painting teh background before the inking was complete, but really, it's turning out nice and I want to share because...

Well, I'm happy with this one.

And i want to share how it's coming along and hopefully make a few people smile. So, here's a preview of this year's Christmas Card. It still has a long way to go, but I like how it's started.

I love your background is coming along. I can barely work Photoshop, let alone do digital paintings. Are you familiar with a digital fantasy and scifi art magazine called ImagineFX? It's a tad expensive, as it's English ($15 an issue). It's really thorough with its explanations and walthroughs, and it comes with a DVD full of demos, workshop files, textures, fonts, etc. I bought an issue sometime back with a demo of Virtual Pose... My friend needs to give it back to me ~_~.

Dummy me, you said you haven't inked the lady yet. No wonder she looked so flat compared to the gorgeous background! Duh, I'm dum.

It is a beautiful piece, sweets, and I love the little frosty sprite hiding in her skirts. I can't wait to see this!
