Back to the basics. . .

So, I figured out why I was (and still am) having a hard time drawing a certain pirate. It's simple really. I am very much out of practice when it comes to drawing.

Between the injured wrist, the stress and the not-break for Christmas I haven't had the time to sit down and draw when i want to and what I want to. And when that happens, i kinda forget how to draw and then it frustrates me and I whine and complain until i realize I just need to step back and practice once more.

And keep reminding myself that it will come back if I can just relax and go with it. So, I'm going to post what art i can (even if i feel it sucks) because that will make me feel like I'm actually doing something and will hopefully let me relax and let my skills come back.

Man, I'm a high maintenance little artist aren't I?

At least I know it though.

So, now onto the first piece of bad art ^___^;

I am so lucky to have wonderful loving people that put up with me. *snuggles* And I WILL get this bastard right(and actually looking like himself) because there is one big picture I wanna do sometime later on in the year. Wish me luck? Please?

Bad artist my arse! I'd know who that is anywhere, which should be proof enough that you still rule as hard as ever. It's something about the eyes and the eyebrows that just seems so like him, not to mention the general deliciousness. ♥

First thing I loved? Sam as Scribe-Protra - the hips! Yum yum delicious hips . . . and the pose is just amazing . . .

Oh I will keep trying and i will get it right eventually. And yeah, I need to draw Jack at some point for my second mom so you'll be seeing him at some point ^^;

Yeah, the colouring is actually really nice in some places. The sky and the sash around his waist make me happy, but well, I'll figure out how to fix the stuff i don't like as i go along and do my best to continue to just have fun.

It's not bad, its very nice. But yeah to be honest, it does seem a bit different from how you usually draw. Then again who am I? What do I know about stuff like this.

Bad artist, my aunt Fanny. That is a great piece of art. Even if it's not what you were aiming for (and I can see why you said it doesn't look like Will), it's a good picture.
