So, after finishing the bookmarks yesterday I started colouring another mermaid picture (you may remember the drawing from a few months ago) and I wanted to show you guys how it looks in-progress, because it's another one with painted water! The clouds will need to be fixed up, and final details added to the water once the rest of the picture is done, but for now, tell me what you think?





I need to finish it for a charity tournament in May. They get a full poster size (and the first print) and then I'm allowed to sell smaller prints after.

But don't worry, the next page(s) of legend are being drawn, as is Plushies. Also, I'm drawing the small plushies for the three bookmarks from yesterday and then Ussop, Chopper and Luffy are getting bookmarks made and then there are a few more mini Crisis Core pics in various sketch phases...

And the Disney Princess Jack picture is almost completely sketched so I'll be able to ink that soon as well...

And I also promised Delmar a new outfit X__x Umm, so I have a lot to do.

Oh thats absolutely gorgeous o.o I would totally buy a print of that. I love how you did the reflections of the light on the water XD It looks almost like a photograph but better o.o :D!!!

Well I used a photograph as reference but then had to play with it to make it suit the picture and change the mood, so I'm glad it looks better then a photo ^__^

It's an idea that has been in my head for quite sometime. The original sketch was drawn three years ago and then around Christmas time I wanted to re-draw it and finally now I can sit down and colour it. And I still wanna play with the idea a bit more...

Oh, my gosh!!! This is the most beautiful picture I have ever seen! I love how you have done to the ocean and the sunset.

PS: I have a question for you: is the mermaid summoning the dragon out of the ocean with her flute? Or is the dragon dancing to the music? Don't take it in wrong way! I'm just wonder and curious!!

The mermaid is summoning the dragon, but yeah, I guess it could be taken as either or ^___^ Pictures are fun like that. You can always create more then one possible story.

I saw this on your devArt a couple days ago, so I know what it looks like finished, but I don't feel like waiting until I get through my flist to the completed version, so-- holy DAMN, Luco, I think this is my favourite of everything I've ever seen of yours. I don't know, the rainbow dragon with the see-through wings might tie it, but just barely. My heart SKIPS when I look at this picture and I get shivers. Absolutely stunning.
