So, today you get two more bookmarks.

And I am so bloody sore....am also stuck in a back brace for a good long while, but hey, anything that will help avoid surgery at this point is worthwhile right? I just hate not being able to move much, and no ddr, no dancing, no sprawled out sleeping, etc.
Well, at least I have art to keep me busy and hopefully I'll be able to leave the brace at home during Anime North.
But the bright side of all this? Once I make enough money at Anime North (hopefully) I can switch the brace for a corset *___* Which the doctor said I could wear since it would keep the posture I need and help support my back. As long as I get a proper one and hey, having a medical reason to get a corset makes me happy!
...
But I don't think I ever explained why I needed a brace or anything did I? *looks back through entries* No, I didn't...
Ummm, I have scoliosis, which basically means your spine is curved. And mine is following along like my mother's and curving inwards. Thus, not good. But hopefully with the brace and chiropractor's help, I will not need the surgery.
So now, I get to sit around and do nothing.
Yeah. That explain why I've been quiet? I've not been the most pleasant of company for the past week or so as dad will cheerfully tell you.

Let me rephrase that. The back itself didn't become a problem until recently, but most of the health problems I have suffered over the years can be linked back to everything being twisted around inside. So if this gets fixed, I should have much better luck health wise from now on!
And how can Luffy be anything but confident?

Date: 2008-05-07 02:57 pm (UTC)Second: Much luck with the back.
Third: Having a medical reason to get a corset is for win. I mush say. XD
P.S. Do you know if you’re going to be going to Otakon this year yet?

Date: 2008-05-07 04:42 pm (UTC)And if everything works out with the back I'll be in much better health over-all.
Yes, having an excuse to get a corset just thrills me ^___^
I will have a table in Artist Alley at Otakon this year, so yes I will be there (will actually be in the area from the Monday/Tuesday till Sunday/Monday, so all will be cool) and you can see the corset!

Date: 2008-05-07 08:39 pm (UTC)You are so good!
Just amazing!
And darlin' I do hope that the brace works for you and you don't have to have surgery. I can't imagine the pain you must be in!
You will remain in my thoughts and I wish only the best for you!
And though my heart is filled with sympothy for you right now I can not help but smile at your wanting to wear the corset! I keep hearing Elizabeth in POTC saying... "You want to feel pain... try wearing a corset" or something like that!
Lots of Hugs and Kisses to you!
Much Love too!

Date: 2008-05-07 10:36 pm (UTC)If the corset can be considered a 'medical device', akin to a back brace, do you think OHIP or some kind of insurance would pay for it? I mean, I can understand 110% why you would pick the corset over the brace, but it would be even better if it was free. :D
I know it's entirely unlikely, but hey, it might be funny to ask and see what people say.
Take care of yourself and know that I am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best for you and your back!
