So, it's official.

I LOVE copic markers! Anyone ever wants to get me a gift? Get these and you will be adored and worshipped!

Also, this is a day I will mark on my calendar. Why? Because for once, I adore a picture I've completed, flaws and all. I think going back to traditional has helped remind me that art doesn't have to be right, it just has to FEEL right. And that is what I went with.

Sadly, I don't think the scan does it nearly enough justice, and I hope it's not too dark (because I haven't yet fixed my laptop settings) but I think it's enough to get the idea. No photoshop was used, at all ^___^

I've never gotten the hang of any non-digital colored medium, but copics especially boggle my mind. To be able to do that with markers... But it's gorgeous! The colors are so bold. It's not too dark at all. It's vibrant.

I don't know why I adjusted to them so well, but they were fun! And I think I needed to have something to do besides just digital art and animation and this has turned out to be the perfect thing!

O.O I love that picture so much! Especially his hand that's sitting on his leg. That part caught my attention first, and I just really like the hand detail. His hair and eye color are so perfect. I lover that blue. And the panthers as well. They're masks are so well done!

So all in all, love the pic!

The panther masks turned out to be one of my favorite parts because they looked exactly as I wanted and yeah, his hand and, well, just him, turned out perfect.

It needed a little extra something. Oh and a dark maroon would be an awesome matte colour for this (if you're going to mat it). It was leaning against one of my pillows of that colour and the picture just popped!
