So today was awesome!!!
Michelle and I went box hunting after a stop at Starbucks. At first we were having no luck and so went into the grocery store to warm up. There we saw cakes and saw a little one with footballs on it and after much discussion it was decided we would have a mini Superbowl party as an excuse for cake and pizza!
We also did find boxes for me ^^
And so, we got back to the apartment, dropped the boxes off in my room and then she went upstairs to make sure it was nut-free.
When she called me up I entered the elevator and during that mini ride I met three pizza delivery guys and about 6 other guys who all noticed ((from the pop in my hands)) that I was going to the Superbowl and then when they found out I wasn't doing it for a boyfriend but because I wanted to and actually arranged it with another girl well...I got a lot of invitations and a few phone numbers.
I was amused.
Then the game came on and I chose to cheer for the Saints ((who WON!!!! *does victory dance*)) and Michelle's boyfriend translated plays and such that we didn't know and even the guy who delivered our pizza stopped for a minute to watch and yeah...
It was a fun evening! I love sporting events for the energy and the crowds and just the sheer fun and stupidity that comes with screaming your head off and dancing around when your team scores and the others will join in.
That and the gold shiny pants were very distracting >>; Also as an animator, it was pure joy to watch their movements and see how well grown men bounce ^____^
So, how was your evening?

Date: 2010-02-08 03:35 am (UTC)So far as commercials go, Budweiser for the win, with Doritos, Intel, Google, and Coke as runners-up. Flo TV, GoDaddy, and Dodge can all die in a fire. E*Trade continues to frighten me.
And now I celebrate a Nawlins victory with The Princess and the Frog!

Date: 2010-02-08 04:29 am (UTC)I had a ton of fun. Stayed home with my family, watched on the big tv, drank a lot of soda, ate a lot of chips and dip. I should, you know, actually eat some REAL food sometime this evening, but then I won't get to sleep at all tonight...

Date: 2010-02-08 03:46 am (UTC)It actually ended up being a pretty good game too! At first I thought the colts were just going to run over them! Whoo!
...sorry, I'm babbling! But it was a good game, and I'm excited! I'm glad you had fun! Football's a great spectator game, and we could use more female fans, so stick with it! (and if my beloved Buffalo Bills keep going the way they're going you guys may get a team. Rumors have been flying for years of them moving to Toronto... T_T)

Date: 2010-02-08 01:06 pm (UTC)On a different note, I'mma need a shipping address for you -- preferably where you'll be, not where you're at -- so I can send this thing I have for you. Also, you don't have allergies to fragrances or anything else like that? I need to run this through a wash before packing it up (it's an SOP thing) to send...

Date: 2010-02-08 09:43 pm (UTC)I loled at the story about the guys. "HOLY CRAP A CUTE GIRL WHO ACTUALLY WANTS TO WATCH FOOTBALL?!??!" Hahahaha you probably made their night.
I totally forgot about the Superbowl until it was over, again haha. But nobody else I know likes watching football. Which is sad, it's a fun sport, and I do love those tight, tight pants.
/le sad.
