*tired*

I just spent three hours chasing down a dog who knows this area far better then I do...

See, I'm house/dog sitting for the week and well usually the dog is really good. He doesn't stray far and comes when he's called and is very well behaved. But today I went out to shovel a bit and he pushed past me and took off!

And wouldn't come close enough for me to catch him and refused to go back in ;;

So, three hours of tag ((and the help from a neighbour who only looks creepy and like a vampire and isn't actually creepy and a vampire)) and finally he's inside and so am I and I hurt from where I fell and I'm cold and *whines*

...

And there was a lot I had wanted to do in those three hours *pouts*

Sorry to hear that. The 'you can't catch me!' game is pretty fun for them so he may do it again especially since it sounds like out of everyone he had a lot of fun. If he takes off, food bribes and letting him come to you tend to work because any time you grab for him he thinks it's part of the game.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind, but hopefully there is no next time ;;

Can you tell I've never had a dog?

Ha! No off leash anymore for this guy. Though they can be sneaky.

Don't worry. Believe me, any dog owner will be grateful that someone actually cared enough to spend three hours trying to pin down their dog after it takes off. This is more than likely not the first time he's done this so don't feel bad.

Awww. -cuddles- Drink tea. Huddle in a blanket. Be happy. I posted up pictures of stuff I bought over Katsucon, so you can also stare at the 8059 beach towel. :3

Oh dear, I hope you don't feel it tommorrow. At least you got to meet your non-creepy neighbor.

Aargh, I hate it when dogs do this. I love my dog to death, but when she pulls the "DURRHURRSTUPIDHUMAN YOUCAN'TCATCHME" game, it drives me up the WALL.
