So...this weekend was not kind to me. Went out walking in the park and managed a fall that badly bruised my left knee, pulled my right hip and lightly sprained my right ankle and then on top of all that one of my contacts tore and ended up scratching my eye.
I am sore and so very not pleased.
But Puku snuggled up to me when I got home, which was awesome and now, I've been told not to stare at the screen for too long for the next few days while my eye heals up.
This annoys me, but I'll use the chance to play with my markers!
Also, I has a question for you guys!!!
As you know, I'm going to be at Darkover in....two weeks I think it is >> And one of the panels I'm running is dealing with artists and mental/emotional disorders. I have it all pretty much plotted out, but I want to know, what you guys would want to hear at a panel like that.
What questions have you always wanted to ask? What things do you hear about that you don't understand? What rumors, thoughts, fears etc...
And remember it's not just visual art. It's music and theater and writing as well. Because, to me, it's natural and I know it's a part of me, so I'd like some outside input.
And...there is one other question for after Darkover.
All of you out there...what project have I started in the past do you want me to work on? Is it Legend? Is it the FF7 Plushies? Is it the plushie comics in general or how about Squiggles? Is it Plot Bunnies, or Bodyguards or the Avatar comics like Appa's bath? Because...I've been going through my art for Darkover and I've found most of the old stuff. A lot of it, was destroyed after Dad's death, but I can fill in blanks and I'm curious.
What did you come here for? What made you stay? How did you find me and what do you want to see?
I mean, I have a lot of my own stuff planned, but I like a variety of projects on the go, so tell me. Even if it's just to yell at me to go finish all the prompt requests.
Anyways, I am going to take a break and bandage my eye.

Date: 2010-11-15 08:02 pm (UTC)A question I'd ask: How does your emotional state affect the overall artistic process? Do you find yourself drawing from your past to create?
What brought me here: I loved the Zuko-bath comic you made. I fell in love with your art style and humour, and I broke one of my candid rules and added you first before you added me. As I got to know you, I found you a courageous and admirable person, one I was lucky to be able to share and talk to.
I wouldn't mind more of the "Bodyguards" verse. If you need fodder for art, I can scribble out some for you, because although I've never played in your sandbox, it is inspiring and looks like loads of fun, and I probably wouldn't have much trouble with it.

Date: 2010-11-15 08:23 pm (UTC)I'm finding more and more as you state above that artistic endeavours (drawing/art/music) often come in tandem with artistic temperaments including bi-polar issues and depression.
I've also found that those same friends dislike who they are, when placed on medications. You might consider talking about that issue as well, kittling.

Date: 2010-11-16 12:42 am (UTC)So I came because of something I wrote, but I stayed because you're awesome and your art always makes me feel happier. <3 The Toph button from the batch you sent me still lives on my favorite purse on a day-to-day basis.

Date: 2010-11-16 07:15 pm (UTC)What brought me here? Your One Piece stuff, I know its older but I'm huge into One Piece and your work for it captivated me. I'd LOVE for you to finish 'Legend' (probably die of happiness if you did).
Why did I stay? Because you are incredibly talented and I enjoy seeing what you create.
Also good luck at your panel.

Date: 2010-11-17 11:53 am (UTC)Is it bad to want that person to draw/act/write when you know even though it makes them happy it might not be completely good for them? Though I won't be at Darkover TT n TT
What I came here for was Legends but I've enjoyed all your art ever since so that's a hard decision, though I would love if Legends was worked on the most I think. Though what really made me stay was you darling *hugs*
Take care of yourself, I love you
