Mom....

Mom fell at work last night. She got hooked on one of those boxes on the ground that cover cables and ended up smashing her face and upper torso into a fan pole. She partially cracked her neck, got a minor concussion, dislocated the shoulder, bruised up most of her chest and scraped up her leg nicely.

...

I had to help her get dressed this morning and yet she is still determined to go into work because we're tight on money and she still wants to be able to get her kids something for Christmas. I love her dearly, but she makes me want to cry and push myself harder until she doesn't have to do anything but lay back and relax and finally let herself heal.

So work harder I will. I'm going to clean up my studio area and get back to work. Must finish off some commissions and get the Calendars up for sale!

But uh, if you have a moment today, could you send some good thoughts to mom? They always seem to help me when you guys do it, so please? Thanks.

wow that's terrible. Many good thoughts to mom!

Also, if she was injured at work, will they make her go back before she's healed? I don't know about Canada but here they have to fill out OSHA reports and you have to get certified by your doctor before you can return to work because of liability issues. I'm surprised your mom's company would permit her to return to work especially after a concussion and dislocation.

You both might want to check and see if you have anything like Workman's Compensation you can apply for. She really needs to heal from that.
