luco | Happy New Year!

This was one of my best New Year experience in quite some time. I spent New Year's Eve at my second Mom's place with Mom Lee, Bette and a few of her friends. So it was basically a bunch of sweet old fun-loving grandmas!

And Bette has a Wii so I brought over the Just Dance 2 game I got for Christmas and well, I spent over 3 hours dancing and looking silly! The lovely ladies joined in for a few songs, as did Lee and it was a blast! It took me a while to really get into it as I still have a problem moving my body freely, but by the time the New Year began I was having fun and was so damn sore.

The game also has Rasputin on it and while everyone else was in the other room, Lee asked me to do that song, because it was our father's absolute favourite song and so....I was crying while dancing to it, and Lee was teary eyed as well, but we were both smiling and laughing and, dad, that was for you. I'll practice doing that song until I can get it perfect and each time, I'll picture the look on your face and how you would cheer me on and probably join in as well!

In the end, I could barely move and passed out quickly when we got home, and when I woke up, it was lightly raining and I felt like lounging about, so after a bit of breakfast, I grabbed a notebook and some brightly coloured gel pens and ended up spending the first morning of 2011 curled up in bed, with Rico curled up beside me and Sylvie lounging on the floor beside the bed, while I wrote a Phineas and Ferb fanfic. Yes you may look at me oddly and shake your head, but, with everyone still asleep and the soft gray light and sound of rain keeping me company it was simply an awesome morning.

And now, after dancing a bit more, I'm sitting here with Puku and simply deciding whether I want to type what I've written or draw.
