I'm kinda at a loss this evening.

I feel as though I want to write instead of draw, but the writing never really turns out well and I end up getting frustrated and disappointed with myself, so I try to change it into images since that is what I'm good at....

And yet...

It's not working.

Write.

Then write again.

Then write some more.

Even if you write crap and rip it up, keep trying.

It's just so very hard to even start....

Start in the middle if you have to! I used to do that all the time - write the scenes in my head first and then write around them to make it all fit.

Well, quite a few stories are in my head and complete it's just this fear of killing them by putting them into words ;__;

Why would writing them kill them?

Because I can never get it to sound or flow right...

I totally understand - but I still say you should give it a shot, first. And if you have to waste paper (or press crtl-a-delete) a few times, I still say it would be worth it. Do you know how much paper I've wasted? And yet each time I throw something away, I improve on what I missed. It really helps.

Oh oh! Or maybe make a storyboard first, or a list of plotpoints?

......I'll give it a shot and see what happens. It'll have to be typed since I can't afford to get anymore paper at the moment ^^;

Well...here goes nothing...

*sending many good and encouraging thoughts*

Try notepad, btw, so you won't get distracted by typos and grammar errors you may have. That stuff can come later.

Writing, like every other kind of art, needs practice. So practice.

I think you need some sort of talent for it as well though >>;

Talent is a lie, at least for writing. It's about practice. I've been writing for ten years, and I am still nowhere near as good as I want to be.

So there is a little bit of hope for me?

((and I like what you write...even if I suck at commenting >>;))

There is hope for everyone. It's practice. It may come easier or harder to you, but you're always going to need to practice. How was your art when you first started out? Or five years ago?

*ruffles* ^_^

*thinks back to that art*

....

*winces* Okay, so practice it is!!

For some reason, that comparison always works well with visual artists. ^_^

Marry the two? Do a short, silly little comic or something.

Write what that character has in their fridge and why. It'll at least get you going~

Randomly, I'm over here to tell you that I found that Reno fic with the robots and the whatnot~ Finally! While looking for something compleeeeetely unrelated.
