I've been off since early yesterday and I couldn't figure out what was causing it.

Then I realized:

This is the first Anime North without Dad. I keep waiting for the call where he asks if I'm ready, to talk me down from being too stressed out, to tell me (jokingly) to get a real job and to tease me about dressing up.

There will be no reason to go early and stop in for a visit or hang out for a few days after.

And I'll be in an area so close to where we lived. It's the area with all his favourite stores, where he'd always drive-by the convention just so that he'd be in the area if I needed food.

This hurts. I wonder how many more situations like this are going to show up?

....

Any advice on how to make this sick feeling a little more manageable?

Well, I know I can't give up, so, I guess as you said, just getting through it. And we shall simply see what happens next...
