I have artist block...yet not.

I want to draw, and I have a lot I really want to draw, but my mind refuses to focus on them.

Instead it wants to play and be silly and do everything else.

...

It's a little annoying.

That happens to me quite often with my writing. I find that if I sign up for a challenge with a reasonably close deadline it helps me focus everything.

Yeah, it serves like dropping a boulder into a river. It focuses the creative stream and gets work done! And then most times I'm able to continue on to other work.

Hm...play how? Like, you draw what you weren't planning to draw, and still want to draw what you planned, but it won't let you all the same?

Pretty much yeah. Everything I want to (should be and would like) draw just doesn't want to get drawn. And when I start to let my mind have it's own way, I feel guilty...

It's like I need to be told what to do and can't just let myself relax >>;
