Oct. 17th, 2011 12:38 pmJust got back from the Vampire...((no not my lovely little Disgaea one, but the professional medical one who deems it necessary to have the coldest hands in existence and to always shake the needle when inserting a new vial for more of my precious life liquid)) and that sucked. Now hopefully it comes back with nothing...
I'm now low on energy, but has chocolate.
I also can't seem to get myself out my front door without someone beside me and since everyone else is busy or away that leaves me plenty of time to sit here. Don't feel like cleaning just yet, so I'll work on art.
But as a treat to myself, I wanted to do some Halloween art everytime I finish my mini commission goals (like get this one inked, or that one fully sketched etc...) BUT!!! My mind is going "................." Anyone know where I can find some good Halloween prompts/inspiration or have any of their own?
Just, NO ZOMBIES. They truly terrify me. Completely.

Date: 2011-10-17 05:57 pm (UTC)I know when I get into a Halloweenish mood I like to watch "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Corpse Bride". Disney's "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" (1949) is also pretty spooky, but then again I scare easy.
In sillier terms, there's always Disney - Haunted House (1929) and Dancing Skeletons (1929) - and the latter is the first Silly Symphony.
It being Early Disney, some of the Dancing Skeletons animation was reused for Haunted House.
EDIT
There's also "Halloween is Grinch Night", which is more remembered for its freaky middle portion than anything else.

Thanks!

Date: 2011-10-17 06:18 pm (UTC)I'm going to try to rip one of my Disney Sing-Along DVDs for the Haunted Mansion portion. IMO Grim Grinning Ghosts is basically the best ever Halloween song bar none.

Date: 2011-10-18 08:39 pm (UTC)It's a fairly long playlist, as I got used to making mp3 CDs back in '04 and was bribed with an iPod in '07. Some are very Halloween, some are only somewhat tangentially related. But I love them all. Cheers!
