lucoWell I did it.
I called the College near here after finding their Academic Upgrading program and I arraneged for my test. After that I'll be going full-time back to school and get the Grade 12 equivalent.
I know alot of people wanted me to jump right into College as a Mature Student, but i've been out of school for three years now and I don't think I'd be able to handle diving right in.
This way, I can get use to a school schedule again and finally have Grade 12 which will allow me to get into the programs i want.
To me, it feels like a better solution, and I hope I do well in it. But it does mean I'll be spending the summer in school, but if that's the price I must pay to prove to myself that I can do this, that I am worth something, than I shall.
But the phone call was terrifying to make. Sounds silly I know, but it was. I've always hated having to tell people that I've never completed High school, the look of disgust bothers me greatly.
And I guess I was expecting to be judged over the phone, but I wasn't (could barely understand the lady but that's okay).
So March 23 is my test date and I refuse to sit around and worry about it. When it comes it comes. Now I feel better, much better than I've felt in the past three years.
