And let me rant for a minute about Sanji. He's a pain in the ass to draw! I mean, I adore drawing him and everything, but to get what I put down on paper to match what I see in my mind is really difficult ;__; I was going through a lot of the japanese sites to see how others drew him and while they have very beautiful art, it wasn't quite what I was after.

I wanted him to look like a 'guy', I wanted to be able to keep him as expressive as he is in the original series! And I want people to always remember that he's a fighter as well. >__<

And I don't know how well I suceeded...

Hopefully it's alright.

Oh and the weed in his mouth will be explained by Chopperfish later >_>;

Damn, he's so frickin' HOT!!!
I seriously was staring at his oh-so-lovely chest and abdomen muscles for over 10 min >_>
And the fins...if anyone is droolworthy, it's gotta be merman Sanji.
So *please* stick with your way of drawing him, ne? Because he looks so hot in a male way (don't get me wrong, I do enjoy female-looking bishounen as well, but Sanji is just not the type for that)!

Amd Chopperfish is really adorable in that last picture as well!! The way Sanji lifts him up like you would lift up a kitten totally amused me.

Oh, and that 2nd picture! Sanji's expression is *really* nice there as well!
So at least I'm more than happy with that new page ^.^

And I'm curious about his little weed thingy there...nearly as curious as I am to find out what kind of creatures the other Strawheads will be ^.~

I like the last picture because of the trust involved. Chopper looks content to be held that way. He knows Sanji would never hurt him ^___^ And glad to know Sanji's expressions work. Was worried....

*grins* You're so amazing. Sanji looks awesome. I especially love his expression in the first panel; he just looks so perfectly SANJI and his face is so expressive even when he's not feeling anything but a general "why are you here, exactly?"

...Though his chest and super-hot arms are certainly FANTASTIC in the last panel as well. And CHOOOOOOOOOOOPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! He's so cute in that last panel! All hanging here, looking adorable and content. Totally willing to let mommy-kitty/fish Sanji take care of it. ^^ Like a cat that knows it hasn't really done anything wrong so it's just going to chill and dangle. And his cute little limp arms!

Sanji looks great! And if you're looking for pictures, Shonenjump.com has OP chapters up from the magazine. It's how I check on things if, like the Christmas season, I do not receive my copy on time. I believe they may be doing upgrading to that part of the site so I'm not sure. Also, animegalleries.net has plenty of OP screencaps if you need help ^_^

What a great page! Like everybody else, I adored Chopper, especially in that last panel (ooh, pretty tail!) but the way he tail-wraps growly Sanji owns me seriously ^_^

And Sanji is super well done! You scored on that 'expressiveness'. That look on his face in the first panel...I can almost hear the sarcastic drawl in which he talks to Chopper, and the annoyed growl in the second (yay for Sanji-growly face! That's the sort of face he's going to be making a lot once he actually meets Zoro, I think). And Sanji in the last panel....hmmmmmmmmmm *happy sigh again* I'm so glad you went for muscles, m'lady. Sanji can drop-kick a 10-ton bananadile to the ceiling. He's not going to be the small, feminine weed many DJ fanartists seem to think he is. Damn that uke-syndrome...

I'm so glad that so many people seem to share my views on Sanji ^____^ I adore the fact that he's a fighter, and a dork, and young and somewhat innocent, and yet he still can come across as so smooth....

It's a pain in the ass to try and combine them, so I have great respect for the animators who have to try and capture that again and again. I'm just glad that I seem to be doing a decent job. And I'm happy that everyone is enjoying the relationship between Chopper and Sanji ^___^

Ee, I hadn't noticed the shoulder fins on Sanji till now. Initially I mistook them for wings in the second page >__>

I think most of the time Sanji gets pinned down as being 'feminine' only because of how slenderly he's built. XD; Especially during the second-style type images in the character sheets. He's so... you could snap him in half. Just so... damn fragile looking. BUT OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW THAT'S WRONG XD But even in the current arc styles, Zoro is noticeably more bulky than Sanji is. Sanji has muscles, but they're more compacted and leaner than Zoro's are.

...sidetracking anyway yes eeeee for Chopper in this post. He's especially adorable in the last panel. XD; And the weed AHAHAHA omg that's so cute too.

Suits also have a habit of making a person look really slim as well. It's one of the closely guarded secrets of cloth. Somehow, no matter the guy, they always look slimmer in a suit.....

But yeah, he is nice and lean....I may have made him a bit too buff, but I like it so far >_>;

i haven't read other people's comments yet, so all this has probably been said already, but--sanji looks fanTAStic. i know you're not so satisfied with him, but he really looks great. and the seaweed, whatever the story is behind it, adequately fills in that cigarette-space. (does it emit some kind of particles/spores now and again that look like smoke underwater? XD hee, that's probably stretching it a bit) chopper just looks so cute in the last panel; it slays me with squee. have i mentioned that i am in love with this project?

i wrote a longish, concrit-ish comment here, but i realized that i do that often and i'm not sure if you even want to read concrit, though you're always very nice about it. so i saved it to my desktop, and i'll only post it if you want to read it.

Please post the other comment as well. I know there are things that i need to work on, but often times I can never exactly pinpoint it. So anything people say, I listen to and learn from. I've got a fairly tough skin when it comes to that.

Well, this will the last day that there will be a page a day, because then I have to move back to school and then school starts so...it may only be two or three pages a week, depending on the work load >_> But that means there will be other art as well ^____^

Chopper does seem to be stealing the spotlight, but I don't mind that ^___^ the little guy doesn't get enough love ^___^

You must remmeber, the first picture of him was an Illustration in a book and part of the text is missing. So while the little guy on the boat may think Sanji has the key...it might be that he does not. Or that it's hidden away. Or that he is the key. Or that......

All I can say at this point is that I am loving this series. I think you've managed very well to keep Sanji 'male', and his yummy body and expressions make me squee. He is totally teh sex in the last panel. But I really like his expression best in the second panel, just because it is so, well, expressive. XD This is total sweetness in so many ways.

How he's supposed to be this legendary creature, all mythology and mystique, but he's still Sanji, and kind of a dumbass. Also, love the cigarette substitute weed.
