So, remember how I said I wanted to try painting again? Well I've started this afternoon ^___^ And I'm trying to do a little dragon. So if anyone is interested, you can see the progress so far >_>; Not much, but kind of interesting?

So first...I had forgotten how to draw a decent dragon, thus i spent a few hours just sketching these guys! it was alot of fun and as a side-note...I always do rough sketches like this is pen when i can, because it allows you to focus on the drawing, getting the gesture and movement right simply because you can't correct small details like you could with a pencil....
It's my preferred, study-sketch method ^__^

Next i got my drawing planned out and drew it onto the watercolour paper!

And then did a rough outline with a nearly dead micron pen!

Now, this is the first layer of ink done with a brush.....I'll be doing all the shading in ink and then putting colour over top. Wish me luck?
It looks a little blah right now because I haven't added any line quality or anything. Hopefully it looks good when it's done.
I think...I'm just going to play in Open canvas now >_> I need a break and that needs to dry. . .
