Need help with something.....

See picture below?

(tis a crappy scan btw....)

Well it's just a very small part of a larger picture (11 x 14) and well, I have several people interested in buying it (the original, not the print) when it's completed and I have no idea how to price my work... The picture has already taken about 8 hours and will require probably a solid week of just drawing to complete...

Can anyone offer any suggestions or a guideline?

Please??

Oh wow... well, I'm no real use at judging how much to sell originals for, but for that large, the original piece, that detailed/long to do... I've seen pieces like it go for 1-2 hundred.

Putting a price on art is a pain in the ass....I'm going to need a manager or something when I"m older...

But 1-2 hundred huh....hmm...well it's a place to start ^^;;

Honestly, that's probably on the low end. [livejournal.com profile] alltrees has a point, though - it frequently depends on how established the artist is. Realistically, you should give yourself a "by the hour" fee and then work out the math based on how long it took you to do it.

Well I'm not established.....so hmmm.....

At least I have a clearer idea..

(although I can't see myself ever making $1700 on one pic....O__o)
